Significant advancement in the construction of two new homes in St Albans.

Curved glulam beam being lifted onto building site

The Installation of six Structural Curved Portal Beams crafted from Glulam by Wyckham Blackwell marks a significant advancement in the construction of two new homes in St Albans.

Each beam spans 7.5 meters and features dimensions of 140mm by 400mm, complemented by a graceful curvature with a radius of 4.2 meters.

These beams are essential for supporting the roofs of the houses, and the project team is enthusiastic about the progress, recognising the vital role each beam plays in the overall integrity of the structure. The choice of Glulam is particularly advantageous due to its durability and eco-friendly properties.
